There is a leaderboard that tracks your completion percentage, but the developer really missed an opportunity to build robust leaderboards that track all kinds of stats like number of deaths and completion time. While this may sound short, it's better for a game to leave us wanting more than to overstay its welcome. You'll be hooked the entire five to six hours it takes to reach the end. The game is very clever and eventually becomes quite challenging. How many times have you seen a little boy decapitated by a bear trap? But after your death you'll restart right before the trap and get to figure out how to get around it. As you make your way through the forest, you'll come across obstacles that will often kill you immediately in shockingly gruesome ways. The developers describe Limbo as a trial-and-death game. But don't worry, the game avoids being frustrating. So what do you actually do in Limbo? Well, you die a lot. You work your way through the second half of the game conquering increasingly dastardly puzzles, and then the journey ends unexpectedly. But the lead up to it needed more of a climax. Limbo's final moment gave me chills - one of my favorite game endings ever. The puzzles become more interesting and complicated, but the absence of other life forms weakens our emotional connection with the game. Then the second half takes place in a deserted industrial area.

While we don’t know much about the game so far, a listing for Project 2 on the Danish government’s website last month revealed that the game is a “puzzle platform/adventure” and is currently listed as coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. Limbo is as close to perfect at what it does as a game can get. According to PlayDead, the game is built on the Unity engine, which allows it to be extremely flexible as far as porting.
While Project 2 won’t be available in the near future, when it does go on sale it won’t be hard to release on multiple platforms. “Money is never the primary factor when we make decisions,” Patti told IGN.
According to PlayDead boss Dino Patti, while the developer acknowledges that financial risk, it isn’t something that impacts PlayDead’s actions. “We took a lot of financial risk to release Limbo only when we felt it was ready and we are prepared to do so again,” Jensen said. In an interview with IGN, game director Arnt Jensen said that Project 2 is “at least two years away” and that PlayDead is taking the time it needs to get it right. Limbo developer PlayDead’s second game isn’t coming any time soon.
